What kind of businesses can exhibit at the show?

Exhibits are restricted to food, beverage and kitchenware products ONLY.

Food to be consumed on site can only be sold by vendors in the Food Truck area. Each exhibitor will need to send in their Certificate to Operate a Food Business with their agreement in order to be a part of the Tauranga Food Show.

Is the Tauranga Food Show a large event?

Yes! The Tauranga Food Show is a large exhibition-style event, NOT a farmer's market.

The Tauranga Food show attracts over 9,200 visitors over just two days and brings together over 150 exhibitors, a live cooking theatre, food trucks with music and seating, door prizes, ticketing, help desk, licensing, security, waste management, parking and a huge leadup advertising campaign.

It's a big weekend! We have over two decades of experience in events management, so we have everything running smoothly and ready for you.

How will being an exhibitor help my food business?

Visitors are highly motivated and genuinely interested in the products and services your company has to offer - they have made an effort to be at the show, they've paid to see you and they want to leave with something of value.

There is also huge value in awareness. Think of the biggest brands you know, products you use every day. Chances are, those companies never stop marketing, even though they already have huge brand awareness. You need to work to grow and maintain market share, and it's even more important during busy periods when competition is fierce and the customer can easily go elsewhere.

Prospects rarely give up their time willingly, but at the Tauranga Food Show, they're doing it enthusiastically!

A strong business / customer relationship is built on a connection - and a tweet or email is never going to replace real human presence, especially with food! The aromas, the taste, the texture and the moreishness of your product is what you’re selling.

Who organises the Tauranga Food Show?

The Tauranga Food Show is run by Bay Events, who have put on over 60 trade shows since being established in 1995. We are a family business and we live in the community we cater to. We're proud of the way we organise our shows, and our exhibitors recognise that we're a little different. You may have participated in some of New Zealand's other shows and be a little unsure, but we assure you that your experience here in Tauranga will have you coming back - many of our exhibitors have been with us for years!
